Dogecoin (DOGE) has entered the top ten tokens by market value in the last week, with a valuation of more than $24 billion. It has dethroned Tron, Chainlink, and Polkadot on its path to the top. Of course, there are reservations. For the time being, however, everyone is along for the DOGE ride.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is the star of the 2021 bull run, following in the footsteps of DOGE. SHIB overcame challenges to claim the tenth spot on the market cap tables. It’s a meme coin battle we’ve seen before: Dogecoin versus the ‘Dogecoin Killer.’ DOGE has consistently come out on top. Shiba Inu has certainly done the work. SHIB has joined the top cryptocurrency list, closing close on DOGE. Many analysts predict that Shiba Inu will eventually replace Dogecoin.
The Shiba Inu community stepped forward to help establish the Shiba environment by late 2022. They introduced a token-burning system, which is still operational today, with 13 billion coins burned in the previous few days. Aside from that, they developed Shibarium, a layer-2 solution for Shiba Inu that enables scalability and expansion.
DOGE, on the other hand, is capitalizing on the momentum of other prominent altcoins while offering little in terms of initiatives. While SHIB has a better chance of continuing its success this time, DOGE may return to the dump status once the ‘alt season’ is done.
Shiba Inu is expected to surpass its $0.000088 all-time high following Bitcoin’s halving. In fact, several analysts believe SHIB will reach $0.0001 this year. SHIB is undoubtedly one of the top altcoins to monitor during the next bull run.
